Onboarding Employees to the goRoster Mobile App
The following material will help guide you through the process of onboarding your employees to the goRoster mobile app and also includes some general troubleshooting tips.
To ensure your employees have the smoothest transition we have some suggestions.

Firstly, notify your employees in advance that you are transitioning to a new rostering system and that they will be receiving an SMS message from goRoster that will allow them to download and connect up the mobile app (we suggest sending out an email or SMS via your own internal communications system).

(Optional – But Recommended) Next, use the goRoster group messaging feature to send a message a couple of days prior to sending the magic link with the following link included in the message, explaining how to connect and use the app when they receive a ‘magic link’.

3. Send out the magic links.
How to send out a magic link?
Magic links are a used to help employees download the goRoster app and connect to your business so they can see their rosters and receive messages from you. They can be sent to all employees simultaneously or to each employee separately. To send out magic links to all of your employees you will need to ensure they all have a mobile phone number entered in their goRoster employee profile. When you are sure all your employees have a valid mobile phone number you can send out magic links to all employees at once by going to: Account Settings > Settings > Cog Icon > Send Employee Mobile App Invitations.

Magic links can also be sent out to individual employees. You can do this by going to the Employee profile > Mobile App > Send Magic Link via SMS.
Troubleshooting Tips
Problem 1 - Magic Link Expires - magic links are valid for 24 hours once sent.
Resolution: Send out another magic link by locating the employee profile in goRoster and sending a new link.
Problem 2 - Employee Accidentally Logs out of the app. Some employees may accidentally log out of the app.
If an employee logs out of the app – they will receive an error. The employee will need to be reconnected, you can do this by going to their employee profile and sending out another magic link.
