Add an extra layer of security to your goRoster account with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Once activated, you'll need both your password and a unique code from your authenticator app to sign in.
Prerequisites for MFA Setup:
Before you start, ensure you have an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile device.
Enabling MFA
1. Navigate to your profile icon on the header bar and click on it to reveal the dropdown menu.
2. Choose 'Multi-Factor Authentication'.
3. A modal will appear with more information about MFA. Review this, then click 'Enable MFA'.
4. To confirm it's you, enter your account password.
5. Open your preferred Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator). Opt to add a new account using a QR code.
Scan the provided QR code with your device and save the account in your authenticator app.
6. Click 'Next'. Then, input the 6-digit code displayed in your authenticator app into the provided field.
7. Finalize the setup by selecting 'Enable MFA'.
Logging in with MFA
After setting up MFA, every time you sign in, you'll be prompted to input a code from your authenticator app. Input this code and click 'Verify'. If you'd prefer to bypass this step on a trusted device, select "Don't ask again on this device for 30 days."
Security Reminder:
MFA significantly enhances the security of your account. For your safety, never share your MFA codes or backup codes with anyone, even if they claim to be from our support team.
