To toggle between different Pay Types select from the drop down box under 'Cost Using'. Note the Pay & Cost Options panel may appear differently depending on the 'Payroll Provider' that has been selected in the 'Account Settings'.
IMPORTANT: When setting Pay Rates, if you are intending on exporting to payroll ensure that the Pay Rate number assigned to the employee in goRoster matches the Pay Rate number set in the payroll system.
Setting an employee up for Hourly Rates
Employees who get paid on an hourly wage can have a Pay Rate associated with them that matches their contracted rate. Depending on the Payroll Provider that has been selected, one or more Pay Rates may be available.
Setting up an Employee up who is paid a Daily Rate
Employees can also be paid a Daily Rate. A Daily rate is useful in situations where the employee works the same number of hours each day.
Daily rates need to be applied to a particular roster. To do so click on the '+' icon as shown below and select the appropriate roster to apply the cost.
Setting up employees who get paid a Weekly Salary
Some employees may be paid a weekly salary. Enter the weekly salary amount and then select the roster it applies to ('+' button).
Setting a Default Pay Rate for an Employee
A default pay rate can be set for an employee to save time. This pay rate will apply automatically to the employee in the Roster Designer and both a normal Rate and Overtime Pay Rate can be entered.
